The Carson Press 1/19/1911
The town of the above name is forging to the front. It has alreadyh a General Store, Hardware, Bank, Elevator, 2 Lumber yards, 2 Restaurants, Real Estate, Livery barn Photograph gallery, Shoemaker and Harness Maker and a big Hotel building. It also has a Depot with agent, and a daily mail service. There is an opening here for a Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Newspper, Drugstore, and other enterprises. Leith is surrounded by the finest farming land, and a class of people that is wede awake and up to date. Keep your optic on this Queen of the Prairie and see her grow. The "Pioneer Hotel" is the name of the new hostelry that is rapidly assuming proportions and within whose walls "Mine Host" Anderson will ere long bid you a hearty welcome. |

A gentleman in charge of the long distance telephone line, from Mandan to Mott, was here Sunday and talked very favorably of running the line across to Leith. This is an improvement very much needed, and we hope to see it, thus giving us direct connection. |
